Jordan Wagner, PT, DPT

I am a pediatric physical therapist born and raised in Hampton Roads. I earned my bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from James Madison University in 2022 and my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Old Dominion University in 2025. Before joining this team, I worked in an outpatient pediatric clinic, providing care both in the clinic and through Early Intervention services.

My passion for working with children began long before PT school. Growing up, I coached youth soccer, worked as a nanny, and spent time in a daycare setting, experiences that reinforced my love for helping children learn, grow, and reach their full potential. My passion for physical therapy was inspired by watching my stepfather receive in-home rehabilitation following a motorcycle accident. Witnessing the impact compassionate, skilled therapists had on his recovery showed me the profound difference physical therapy can make in someone’s life. When it came time to choose a career, I knew combining my love for pediatric care with my passion for physical therapy was exactly where I was meant to be.

Establishing trust and building great relationships with the children and families I work with is at the core of what I do and getting to do that in an environment that a child feels safe and comfortable makes what I do even more fun. I have experience treating children from birth through adolescence with a wide variety of diagnoses, including developmental delays, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, spina bifida, torticollis, autism spectrum disorder, and genetic conditions, among many others.

I also volunteer with SibShops, a program that brings together siblings of children with special needs to connect, share their experiences, and build meaningful relationships with others navigating similar journeys. There is truly nothing more rewarding than helping children gain confidence, independence, and new skills while supporting their families every step of the way. They say if you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have found a career that brings me so much joy and purpose.
